John is an experienced brewer, researcher, and beer enthusiast looking to share his knowledge of and experience with beer through this site.
In the early 2010s, John started his career in craft brewing with three years of hands-on experience, tackling everything from milling malt to carbonating finished beer.
John then transitioned industries, gaining eight years of experience as a biotech researcher.
Fueled by an interest in beer and traveling, John has extensively traveled Europe, including living there for two years. This experience has allowed him to try many classic beer styles and better understand the beer cultures of Germany, Belgium, the British Isles, and beyond.
John holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Paper Science and Engineering.
